Melissa a first generation Mexican-American, embraces her multilingual background with fluency in Spanish, English and American Sign Language.  Passionate about serving the deaf community, she dedicates her time to volunteering in it including deaf-blind tactile signing. 

She has an educational background in child development, and loves organization and learning new things.  She enjoys sewing, crafting, cooking and watching movies.  She lives with her husband and her dog.
